# 10-Base-T1S Demos # Check\_10BaseT1S\_Comet\_AE02.vs3 Check\_10BaseT1S\_Comet\_AE02\_1920x1080.vs3 ## Graphical panel 1 This was started with Betaversion VehicleSpy \_3.9.19.3 ![Setup](resources/Check_10Base-T1S_Comet_GP.bmp) ## Graphical panel 2 ![Setup](resources/GP_02.bmp) ## Graphical panel 3 Added for TEX2026 ![Setup](resources/GP_03.bmp) ## Showcase Initially this setup was used with RAD-Comet. The received messages are filtered by MAC address. Graphical Panel 1: Depending on the filtered message the graphical panel shows from which "node" the data was received.  Graphical Panel 2: New setups for [RAD-Comet2](https://store.intrepidcs.com/product/rad-comet-2) and [RAD-Comet3](https://store.intrepidcs.com/product/rad-comet-3) also will be able to show Symbols and Beacon Graphical Panel 3: For Testing Expo 2026 the setup additionally was extended to use [RAD-Moon-T1S](https://intrepidcs.com/products/automotive-ethernet-tools/rad-moon-t1s-10baset1s-media-converter/) media converter and [RAD-GigaStar2](https://intrepidcs.com/products/automotive-ethernet-tools/rad-gigastar2-1gbt1-t1s-active-tap-gateway-media-converter-vehicle-interface-data-logger/). Within graphical panel 3 the same waveform from RAD-Meteor Nodes1 and 2 are shown, but received on AE03 of RAD-GigaStar2. WireShark could be used to visualize the 10-Base-T1S to 100-Base-T1 converted stream monitoring the RAD-Moon-T1S output. If [ICSCAP](https://intrepidcs.com/products/software/ics-cap/) driver is installed (copy [ICSCAP.exe](https://cdn.intrepidcs.net/icscap/) to \\Wireshark\\extcap) also Symbols and Beacon might be monitored – „malformed frames“ since it is no ethernet frame but internally extracted data in RAD-GigaStar2, RAD-Moon-T1S or RAD-Comet2/3 ## Requirements Initial setup - RAD-Comet, RAD-Comet2 or RAD-Comet3 - 10-BaseT1S - Local ID=0 - two (several) RAD-Meteor including USB-C cable - set with individual local Ids (e.g. ID1 and ID2) - Cabeling to connect RAD-Meteors and RAD-Comet - [iX to Pigtail cable](https://store.intrepidcs.com/product/ix-pt-0.5-cable) - mating terminal blocks for RAD-Meteor [TBP02P1-381-02BE](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/cui-devices/TBP02P1-381-02BE/10238445) - USB-powersupply for x-RAD-Meteor Extended setup - RAD-Moon-T1S (e.g. ID3) - RAD-GigaStar2 (e.g. ID4) ## Used Vehicle Spy version Beta 3.9.19.3 3.26.2.29 (01.06.2026) ## Setup Initial setup 1. Connect RAD-Comet 10-Base-T1S port to several RAD-Meteor 2. Power the RAD-Meteors via USB 3. Connect RAD-Comet via USB-C to the PC Extended setup 4. Connect RAD-Moon-T1S to RAD-Comet 5. Connect RAD-GigaStar2 to RAD-Moon-T1S 6. Connect RAD-Moon-T1S via USB-C and Ethernet to the PC 7. Connect RAD-GigaStar2 via USB-C (maybe also with Ethernet) to the PC ## Usage 1. Open the setup and check the RAD-Meteors MAC addesses in the AE02/AE03 and AE06 network settings.\ (T.B.D might be improved thru global settings with application signals) 2. Go online with Vehicle Spy (e.g. with RAD-Comet). 3. To start the individual nodes, press the yellow button and start "run". 4. Start WireShark and Monitore raw Ethernet stream (RAD-Moon-T1S) 5. Have a second instance of WireShark to monitor also the symbols/beacon using ICSCAP connection (e.g. RAD-GigaStar2)
